First, in case you missed it-- we're having a happy hour at Bards (2013 Walnut) at 6 pm tonight. Good people, Guinness (union-made!), and a chance to get caught up on all the exciting stuff happening at JwJ-- be sure to stop by.

Now, on to business: The Scrooge of the Year contest marches on!

Thanks to everyone who submitted nominations-- it's time to vote in the Scrooge runoff and narrow down the options to our final candidates.

You nominated:

• Mayor Nutter

• Governor Corbett

• Philadelphia School Reform Commission

• Post Brothers

• Eric Cantor

• David Cohen (of Comcast)

• Ballard Spahr

• ASPIRA Charters

Guys, you know Scrooge-ness when you see it!

So let's get to it and pick the final seven--be sure to vote in the runoff and at the end of the week, we'll announce the final candidates.

Final voting will work kind of like US elections: every dollar buys you a vote. Once we get the final seven candidates, it's on to the final election! From Wednesday until THE RECKONING (12/12, 5:30pm @Bards), we'll open the polls (online and by check) for voting for the Scrooge finalist.

 Solidarity, and happy hunting!
