Labor in the Pulpits Event Details

August 31, 2008, Labor in the Pulpits is an annual event held in churches every year. Congregations offer special prayer for workers. In 2007, ten congregations prayed for security guards were trying to win paid sick-leave at Temple University. We believe that partly due to the hundreds of prayers that were mobilized for our cause, the guards at Temple won sick-leave for the first time.

This year, the POWR campaign is again asking for the support of congregations. If you would like to offer prayer for us in your congregation, you can download a packet of support materials here.
